Does your company or agency use ATVs in it’s daily operation?  An ASI licensed Instructor is available to provide the ATV RiderCourse to your personnel.  ATVs do not handle like motorcycles or cars and training is a must in the work environment.  Many organizations, including law enforcement agencies, the military, private companies, and others, now mandate that employees must complete the RiderCourse prior to operating an ATV.  They have discovered this program is a significant enhancement to their existing safety awareness.  Employees may be able to enroll in a regularly schedule ASI RiderCourse.  If there are a sufficient number of students from your organization, an Instructor would consider scheduling a separate class to fulfill your requirements.

The goal of ASI is to promote the safe operation of ATVs.  To that end, you will discover your training cost for this service is quite minimal.  In fact, if you recently purchased a new ATV manufactured by an ASI sponsor, the training might be free of charge.  Currently, this includes:   ALPHASPORTS, ARCTIC CAT, BOMBARDIER, BUSH HOG, HONDA, JOHN DEERE, KAWASAKI, POLARIS, SUZUKI and YAMAHA

Discovering the unique capabilities of ATVs in the workplace, larger organizations will find ATV Training a beneficial and essential addition to their existing safety programs.  ASI provides Instructor Licensing for qualifying organizations on a case review basis.  Variables under consideration include; the number of Instructor Candidates,  riding area and classroom availability, access to training ATVs and the availability of a Chief Instructor.  In some cases, the Workshop is conducted at the contracting facility.  If this is not feasible, your personnel could be enrolled into a scheduled Instructor Preparation Course (IP) at one of the existing ASI Training Sites.  IP Workshops are scheduled throughout the year for Instructor candidates applying for an employment position with ASI or seeking a non-employment, Agency License.  Enrollment cost is limited to the expenses incurred by ASI and is thus extremely reasonable and in keeping with the overall mission of promoting ATV safety.

The Instructor Course is a four to five day workshop, depending on the riding experience of the candidates.   Prospective Instructors must first complete an Instructor Application.  Applicants are not guaranteed a position in an Instructor Preparation Course.  Once a completed application is received and reviewed, applicants are called to further discuss their qualifications for consideration.  Selected applicants are then placed on a waiting list for the next available course in their area.
